Mock Trial Team
The Mock Trial team is a student-run organization that works on a legal case developed by the American Mock Trial Association. Students prepare all parts for trial and play the roles of attorney and witnesses in competitions at FDU and other universities. Students learn about the litigation process, effective public speaking and how to sculpt legal arguments. The team also hosts numerous campus events including The Lunch and the Law series and Law Week. Contact fdumocktrial@gmail.com for more information.
The Pre-Law Honor Society
The Pre-Law Honor Society (PHS) is for FDU students who have demonstrated commitment to the Pre-law program. Students may be inducted to the PHS as early as the end of their first year, if they qualify, and may maintain membership if they continue to meet the high standards and requirements stated for an inductee (for a maximum of four years). The mission of the PHS is to promote the values of legal education, professional development, active participation, mentorship, and program and community leadership. The heart of the program is attendance at designated pre-law activities such as Lunch and Law, the Legal Student Speaker Series, Mock Trial Scrimmages, etc.
Legal Student Speaker Series
This student-initiated organization hosts monthly conversations on legal topics, including review of recent Supreme Court opinions and legal logic games. Students prepare and make presentations to an FDU audience. Click here for more information on the Speaker Series program and to obtain a simple application for your own presentation (open to any current FDU undergraduate with an interest in legal issues, broadly understood).
Politics & Law Club
The Politics and Law club strives to advance students’ understanding of our nation’s laws and promote healthy political dialogue at Fairleigh Dickinson University. We are here to help members establish an understanding of law and to prepare students for legal related studies and careers.
